So, this is what became of the head-and-hands . . . the idea occurred to me over the weekend of the Fourth, and, finally, here she is!
She's made from Jill Maas' pattern "High Octave Hester." As usual, mine doesn't look precisely like the pattern, but I like her.
Materials are quilters' cotton for the dress, craft velour (wrong side to) for her head, bust and arms; and odds and ends of beads, some polyester georgette for her scarf, and a scrap of some other polyester for her headdress.
