Victoria and Guy Noir (a new player in the never-ending game; he resembles a younger, slimmer Mr. Poozle. Aparently he belongs to someone and just drops by occasionally for fun and a snack or two.)
Ordinarily the roof belongs to Victoria, if for no other reason than no one else is idiot enough to get up there. (Hello? Tin roof? Noonday sun?) But he found her favorite way up—leap onto the tool shed, then to the roof—and up he went. She was not appreciative of his efforts. . . .
After some little time staring at each other, she decided he wasn't worth her time . . . so she went over the roof and down the other side, to her little hole under the eaves (have I mentioned that this is an old house?) and into the attic, probably to sulk in her nest in the insulation. (Sleeping in insulation can't possibly be a good thing, but there is no way to keep her out of the attic—her bolthole is way past the floored portion, and neither of us is steady enough anymore to crawl out on the rafter to close it up. So far the only noticeable ill effect is that she sometimes brings down a wad of milk-of-magnesia pink fiber and deposits it proudly at my feet. Ah, well . . . better than a live mouse, as some others do . . . ) Then Guy decided the roof wasn't very interesting after all and came down, and all the fun was over.

I’d like to tell you that my hilariously funny book, The World Is Your Litter Box, is in bookstores now and is also available on Amazon. The book is cleverly disguised as a cute cat book so humans will buy it, but is, in fact, a how-to manual FOR cats. Check it out on my website, www.theworldisyourlitterbox.com. There's even a roof-top adventure in it.

Wow, kitties on the roof! Us kitties would not be allow on the roof, since we live in a very tall building with many apartments. Being on the roof does look like fun though!

This is hilarious!! We sometimes see a cat sitting on the neighbour's roof across the road. Not sure how he gets up there. More often, we see raccoons up there, sunning.....

Awww... I was so looking forward to Victoria and Guy's love story. It's like their meeting on the roof was a gift of fate. These cats don't know what they're missing.
