We had several this year; they're nearly stopped blooming, but we have enjoyed them for weeks. I think we'll try to get them to bloom again next year. I have some directions, somewhere, on how to hold them over the summer.
And now to work—I must get John up to deliver cookies, I need to mail the rest of the month's bills (which requires a trip to the post office to buy stamps; I thought I had some left, but I can't find them, so I guess not) and go to the grocery store to pick up a few things I forgot on Wednesday (and get another gallon of milk; snow is forecast for next week), and go to the fabric store in search of Jiffy-Grip to make bedroom slippers.
They're so beautiful! I've never had luck with them. An ex-boyfriend did; made me mad. Maybe I'll try again next year.

They're glorious. I think you let them totally dry out, put the bulbs in a cool spot in some shavings or peat moss, and ignore them.

Flowers HATE me. I try to grow them and they just stick their lil' flowery tongues out at me and refuse to bloom. So I appreciate you for sharing YOUR gorogeous flowers! What pretty, pretty colors!

They need sun in the summer, and lots of fertilizer. For details check here:
