I had intended to finish this girl before Halloween, as a gift to one of the granddaughters (I'm not saying which one, since now I have a giant head start on next year)—however, we both got the flu and I didn't finish her until today. She's made from Julie McCullough's Snippets pattern, which is fast becoming one of my favorites. It reminds me of the Betsy McCall doll I had as a child. All the fabric and beads came from The Stash, as did the Icelandic wool for her hair. (I bought it from Cloth Doll Supply last year when they had a sale, knowing that I'd use it for something sometime . . . )
The challenge now is, of course, to stow her somewhere safe but findable until next year.
She's AMAZING! I love Julie's patterns, too! Sadly, my lack of sewing skills keeps me from doing more than ADMIRING them! LOL! But you have done a wonderful job with her Snippets pattern & I am nuts about the colors & fabrics you used, PLUS the cool hair!

I love her. My problem wouldn't be finding a safe place to store her. It would be remembering where that safe place was next Halloween.
I've been on a five week vacation and am catching up on my blogging. Love reading your blog.
